Tamil Literary and Debating Society
Tamil Literary and Debating society of S. Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia has successfully completed its 76th year since commencement. The main aim of our club is to uplift the tamil cultural norms, raise awareness on the infinite glories of the Tamil literary heritage and to nurture creativity and leadership skills within students through creating magazines which include students’ literary works, taking part in interschool competitions and organizing intergrade activities and cultural events such as ‘Kalai Vizha’.
Latest Project
Magazine, ‘Thamiloviyam’
We’ve planned to create a magazine, ‘Thamiloviyam’. In this pandemic, students would be able to spend their time on exposing their hidden creativity through their articles, without just wasting time on futile activities. We would also be able to ensure that the society activities would be continued by the upcoming batches as well with much engagement.
