S.Thomas’ College Vs St Sebastian’s College Traditional Match Played at Mount-Lavinia on the 27th & 28th January 2023.
On day one Senadhi Bulankulame 45, got his highest score of the season but after a mini collapse Mahith Perera 52, & Nathan Caldera 56, took STC to a formidable 268 all-out.
STC had Sebs in a spot of bother at 145/8 still 23 short of a follow-on when rearguard action by Sasindu Prarthana 71, saved the day after Vimath Dinsara scored 51 in the top order. Vimath also had 4 wickets in the match. Nathan Caldera impressed again with the ball with 3/54, while Abheeth Paranavitane 3/37, got some crucial breakthroughs.
STC had a few anxious moments being 4/2 early in the 02nd Innings, but Romesh Mendis 68*, Dineth Goonewardena 44 which included 3×6 & Charuka Peiris 38, ensured STC closed out the game.
